Scumbag behind MPs allowance raise proposal

When the world is talking about a global recession, Malaysia Budget 2012 was announced with more vigorous Government spending including one which particularly shocked Malaysians with the exception for the intended recipients.

The wicked smile on PM Najib's face towards the ending of the budget speech last Friday, imposed upon majority of the TV audience nationwide a crooked proposal. The announcement I was referring to was the review of salaries for the Members of Parliament (MPs).

MPV being squeeze out of road by Satria

Ops Sikap 24 (2011) failed!

Reason given was, more vehicles on the road and attitude of the road users were to blame.

I am not surprise at the grim statistics released by the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Chief ACP Rusli Mohd Noor that had shown an increased number of cases and death. I was on the roads during the Hari Raya holiday period too and the number of Kancil(s), Myvi(s) and express buses zooming past my moving MPV maintained at 100kph is shocking.

Go ahead do any wrong!

All UMNO linked VIPs whether self-bestowed or deservingly can do whatever they feel that they want to do for themselves or their circle in the spirit "Putrajaya kite punya".

UMNO goonies would openly agree but not the Federal opposition. The level of influence or control they had on "Little Napoleons" in various Government agencies is sufficient to right the wrong and even daringly done in Parliament.

UMNO/BN promises remains promises for 54 years

Can we accept and trust the promises of the PM wholesale?

I for one would not! Given the past experience of all the sweet promises that never materialise or simply "vanished" after their objectives achieved needs to come to an end. Enough is enough.

Well, they might argue that one rotten apple in a basket does not mean all are rotten but the long history of unfulfilled promises simply serves as a grim reminder of UMNO and BN promises in winning votes come elections. As the Malay proverb, nasi sudah menjadi bubur.

The kind of leaders today's UMNO breed!

Political parties worldwide often engaged in positive discussions and criticisms for the betterment of the Government machinery as well as delivering the people's mandate.

These positive discussions whether issues affecting the people or Government policies are tabled with a high degree of intellectual thoughts and arguments put forward before being finalized for implementation. This comes with the attitude of the lawmakers in truly serving the people first and delivering the best possible policies benefitting the country.

How silly and stupid can EC (or this man) be?

Agong umpama ibu bapa!

PERKASA pertikai BERSIH mengadap Agong
Wahai Ibrahim, sedarlah wahai insan ....

Can you throw a bag and at the same time hide it?

Doesn't this sounds more like a standard modus operandi to "plant" evidence to incriminate?

Police find weapons, say points to Bersih

This really sounds familiar!

MP Massage Parlour!

Ever wondered which MP has his office and service centre located on the same floor as a massage parlour in Danau Kota?

I would think ethically the office and service centre should not be on the same floor or even near such outlets. Makes the rakyat wonder if the MP has a share in the massage parlour or he frequents the place after stressful Parliament seatings.

Hisham's equation Bersih = Communist!

BERSIH the public funds Malaysian style!

Are Malaysians a bunch of suckers being taken for a ride by the ruling BN Government dominated by UMNO?

Taxes paid, subsidies removed amidst rising prices of consumer goods, rise in petrol price and God knows what other surprises are in store for the innocent Malaysians. Given a free rein without a representation of Opposition in the Parliament, those idiots would have BERSIH the Government coffers!

UMNO and Perkasa tag team?

Stubborn as a mule!

Now, who is stubborn and who is the mule?

Well, it can no better describe the Malaysian DPM, Deputy Education Minister, UMNO elites and not forgetting Perkasa as stubborn and the mule. They had stood strong over the controversy on the novel Interlok being used as part of the Form Five syllabus.

Perkasa members, please wake up!

This "fighter cock" old man named "Ibrahim Ali" should have just shut his mouth rather then blabbering without knowing what he is talking about during the Perkasa July 9 rally launch. He has another 500 people there carrying banners, shouting at the top of their voices supporting that old man's nonsensical speech.
  1. Bersih 2.0 is nothing about racial neither to overthrow the Government as in Egypt. It's purely a rally to call for fair elections where Malaysians are concerned over the future of the country. Here, clearly indicates a politician due to be "retired" by the people in the next General Election.

Fighter Cocks Perkasa!

Fresh from a weekend meet up with my Melayu ex-school mates and no surprises, we still have that strong friendship between us despite the 20+ years that we have been apart. We manage to seat, drink and talk while reminiscing the good old days when we were simply inseparable regardless of ethnicity and religion.

We came to agree that 20+ years fast forward, the situation had been so depressing that we have "clowns" trying to break this understanding which had required years to foster that had always won admiration worldwide.

Memang orang Melayu bukan sebodoh macam Pak Ibrahim!

Pak Ibrahim's "Orgasm"

Orgasm is defined in Bahasa Malaysia is puncak syahwat. How one reaches the puncak (climax lah in English) is dependant on the individual and does not necessarily require sexual gestures as in Pak Ibrahim's example, he gets orgasm when he starts shouting rhetorics on racial and religion.

Belajar Peribahasa #2

Just do it!

I welcome the headlines in The Star newspaper dated 18 May 2011 which goes like this "Errant m-cyclists will be slapped with maximum fine of RM300".

Betul kah? Or my eyes are playing tricks on me?

JPJ and police serious about this?

Parking mana-mana boleh, Malaysia style!

Haphazard parking or double parking, whatever parking "styles" it may be. Malaysian road users have been accustomed to the variants. In fact, it has become part of the lifestyle of many car drivers of the "tidak apa" (don't care) attitude which had caused many traffic snarls, congestion and accidents especially in the city.

Belajar Peribahasa #1

it's legit! nothing wrong screening and posession of blue movie !!!!

So it's nothing wrong watching and in possession of blue movie says de-facto Law Minister Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz.

Those VCD and DVD traders would welcome this statement with GLEE now that they know displaying and screening to public at pasar malam is legal! Malaysians would welcome Nazri Aziz's statement a welcome change that the Malaysian Government is finally opening up.

LAMPsON and LIGHTS OUT Gebeng

It's LAMPsON in Gebeng, should things go wrong and it's LIGHTS OUT with the plant, it's also DARKNESS for the innocent Malaysians living in that area including many more which could be affected.

The project is in full swing despite calls for a review and typical of the BN run Government, when there are "high positioned" stakeholders involved, talk and action are entirely different.

Would it be LIGHTS OUT for BN in the imminent General Election with this controversial project?

UPDATE (29 March 2011)

If the PM is so adamant about LAMPsON, then he should be able to explain to Malaysians his logic and convince the nation that it is safe and a repeat of Bukit Merah or Japan is a guaranteed avoidable.

If he is not able to explain, then I would suggest build the plant in Pekan instead of Gebeng as it is closer to the river and sea where they would be able to draw water to cool down the plants. Make Pekan a dumping ground of the rare earth ore the Aussie company claims is a trace of those in Bukit Merah.

Is Pekan Najib's constituency? Oooopss sorry!

And the people of Kuantan has the support from MCA, in a move to avoid from being in the oblivion in the upcoming General Elections.

what the F@#* so great about retaining INTERLOK?

DPM may claim INTERLOK is a good book for Form 5 students and he may have his own opinion for that conclusion.

This amidst the controversies of the "pariah" issue that angered the Indian community and the the section which claims the Chinese sells their daughter for prostitution that had set both the community fuming.

Question for DPM, Minister of Education and Government of Malaysia -

1. ISN'T THERE ANOTHER NOVEL FOR FORM 5 WHICH IS GOOD AND ISSUES AS ABOVE COULD BE AVOIDED?

2. WHY THE INSISTENCE OF DPM ON RETAINING INTERLOK IS EVERYBODY'S GUESS? (DPM HAVE A "SIDE ARRANGEMENT" WITH PUBLISHER AND AUTHOR?)

3. WHY THE PM HAD REMAINED SO SILENT ON THIS WHEN HE HAD BEEN FIGHTING HARD TO INSTILL 1 MALAYSIA SPIRIT?

If there are no logical answers to the 3 questions above, my votes are going for Opposition! Period!

Update:

Another person with a unity spirit for Malaysia! Unlike the UMNO racists!

There were no logical answers from the PM and DPM which makes me as a typical Malaysian thinks 1 Malaysia is just a gimmick and race based ruling would be on-going with UMNO!

Tak pakai helmet pun boleh kah?

Is this about setting a good example??

(Picture from The Malaysian Insider)

Pictures don't lie and if this can be a police evidence of riding a motorcycle without safety helmet, will the police take stern immediate action?

To rub more salt into the wound, those 2 "little boys" are definitely under aged!!!

The police are supposed to instil law and order without any discrimination.

So Malaysians are waiting!!!!!

Be and Be Seen, Mudah Lupa

In earlier days of my professional development, we are always reminded of "be and be seen"!

Till today my fellow trainees remember and practices that without hypocrisy i.e. saying one thing and doing another. 1 Malaysia was formulated albeit claims that it was copy of "One Israel" with a goal to preserve and enhance unity in diversity.

When it was launched, it sound real good and suddenly we had every organization including private companies had the 1 Malaysia logo on their promotions, campaigns, marketing and etc. which had the Prime Minister beaming in joy that his transformation plans are finally garnering support. Barisan Nasional component parties had all rallied behind this but there were the forces within the UMNO party and Malay based NGOs like Perkasa bandied against this idea while claiming for Malay rights (Ketuanan Melayu).

The fears of Ketuanan Melayu washing his 1 Malaysia dream was for real!

Critics and Opposition leaders came out blazing the PM on what his ideals are i.e. Ketuanan Melayu or 1 Malaysia. The silence, then the declaration of support for realization of 1 Malaysia dream emerged while his deputy was still pushing for Malay rights. In other words, the PM and DPM seem to be in disagreement to Malaysians but at least they seemed to maintain support from their party.

MCA and Gerakan came out firing salvos after salvos on Ketuanan Melayu but the Chinese community had already accepted that it was sheer "wayang". Every Malaysian had now known that for the elite group to stay in business and in power, their struggles would finally be dictated by the supreme UMNO leaders of in lay man terms "kow tow to UMNO".

We all know this was not the principles of Constitution on which the birth of Malaysia (Tanah Melayu or Malaya then) is based but in Boleh Land, interpretation of words seemed to be the rule of the day. Former PM Tun Dr Mahathir whom many claimed "nyanyuk" (senile) suddenly remembers about how Operasi Lalang started, Tanah Melayu was because of Malay domination when he had actually said 14 times during the infamous Lingam trial that he can't remember. Another wayang?

Back to present, Najib perhaps based on the recent by-election victories had grown a little big headed and forgot about his 1 Malaysia when he warned all Muslims that religious pluralism is unIslamic. Again, it displays the sincerity of commitment to establish 1 Malaysia and it's not a wonder anymore as to why the Islamic religious authorities are becoming bolder in their actions.

He now carries extra confidence that Barisan Nasional would retain the majority and govern the country after the next General Election that we Malaysians are finally seeing the true color of Najib whom had yet to cleanse himself from the accusation that he was involved with the Mongolian model, Altantuya murder.

Today, he reminded the UiTM students and alumni about the Government's part in providing them the education which had placed them in senior positions in Government and private sectors. Why need reminding? Melayu mudah lupa? (Malays forget easily?) Isn't it a fact that action speaks louder than words?

Actual truth, they tak mudah lupa till they campaign for the ruling Government as seen here.

1. Can a Government servant campaign in politics?
2. It's also a no brainer why education levels had gone down when teachers are summon from school to attend to such talks when they would be better educating the students in school!
3. Johor Education Department director Markom Giran however mudah lupa, it's not the Government who pays his salary but the innocent tax payers who sent their children the national level schools for education and this is what they obtain in return!
4. Any actions on Johor Education Department director Markom Giran PM and DPM? This is blatant abuse of power and tax payers monies??? Can MACC act instead of waiting for a report to be lodged since it involves a Government servant?

Well, I don't think all my fellow Malay brothers and sisters forget easily but it's easier for the corrupt to forget till it becomes a revelation by the Opposition. Till then, such will systematically kept close to their chest and fight hard for self economic purposes while using race and religion to remain in power.

Once their power had been restored by the "gullible" group of Malaysians, whom gets mesmerized by the pre-voting/election fanfare of Barisan Nasional of gifts, promises, new tarred roads, visits by leaders etc., they get into the mode of "mudah lupa rakyat" and go into their frenzy spending of tax payers money while setting aside a percentage.

A great example would be the "look like, sounds like" great RM36 billion Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project for the Klang Valley residents which have yet to go through EIA assessment but have been declared to kick-off in mid 2011. Such a classic example of bulldozing through projects.

Does the people and economy actually gain from this project? Higher possibility it's a NO answer, as this project would seem benefitting a certain elite organizations worthy to take note companies like MMC-Gamuda, YTL Land, Guocoland and Selangor Prop. With so much of assessment, feasibility study and planning to execute, wouldn't it be good to invest in the education of the children of Malaysia by addressing this issue of "600 schools in critically bad condition" first?

This remains a classic test of the 1 Malaysia concept of "Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan"!

Or would the needs in facing the upcoming General Elections over rule the concept.

Once again, leaders have great responsibility to ensure "Be and Be Seen" to the Malaysians (especially the gullible ones) whom have voted you there.

Heineken's Champion League sponsor taglines goes "Drink Responsibly" which is absolute fabulous message while we would like to remind the BN Government, "Rule Responsibly" in your words and actions. Don't mudah lupa and don't play God!

Woi Cina! Woi Melayu!

"Woi Cina!", shouts a Malay man in the 40s, in a loud tone to a Chinese walking towards him.

"Woi Melayu!", the Chinese shouted back.

(let's call them Ah Lee and Sham)

When they came face to face, they had a good laugh, exchange handshake and hugs. After all they were school mates for 11 years in Malaysia national-level schools and had not met for 27 years till today. That was exactly how they referred to one another even during school days but yet the friendship remained cordial without any feelings of a racist.

Back then, calling one another as such is perfectly alright. Today, it might or will invite unnecessary stares or re-action.

"Hey, you remember? I used to come to your house during Chinese New Year with the gang and spend the whole day there? We really had fun and your mum's cookies was simply too good to resist lah bro" adds Sham.

"Yah, Yah ... you fellas will start burning the fire crackers to signal arrival and it's great isn't it at the sight of so many bicycles lined up in front of the house?.Sekarang bakar mercun kena tangkap bro!" Ah Lee replied.

Between the two friends, nothing changed despite the different career paths the respect for each other had to this day continues from the year they parted schooling. This is typical Malaysia in 80s and before. They had studied and spoke in English medium much more then as compared to today when we were able to use the knowledge from the education system then to a greater advantage during busines travels.

What has actually gone wrong during the 20+ odd years then?

The competitive, mature and tolerant mentality is gone while school children now seemed to be more dependant on parents instead of working their way towards being independant. Those outgoing kids of today are a little extreme i.e. joining peers hanging out in entertainment outlets, riding motorbikes aimlessly, lepak along the roadsides, mamak etc.

"Those days, we use to fly kites, evening football kick around, cycling and aimless lepaking is something unheard off. Even dating during school days are mostly limited to after school in coffee shops or weekends on short hours." says Ah Lee.

We fully understood that there are rapid development through the years but isn't it right the education system be revised to reflect a more developed, matured and tolerant thinking school going children of modern times?

Instead, what the national school syllabus is moving back towards teaching them about domestic affairs and driving more towards "re-engineered" history of Malaysia. We did not study re-written history back then but yet we fully respected each other's right of existence in this land we loved called Malaysia.

I believe there are many other concerned parents out there whom would be thinking the same on these matters and push for a change in education system approach before it systematically remove the future Malaysia of their iner capabilities to actually get out there and start competing. (one wonders how the Ministers keep harping about the quality of national schools here and yet they sent their children to boarding schools abroad)

And what the 2 friends had to say, our children missed the GOOD education, discipline and teachers we had back then while reminiscing the subject topics of interest when it was so much fun in learning. While examinations and university admission was much tougher, can't help understanding why the many new local colleges and universities today had failed to produce many quality work force.

Instead, the new generation of domestic work force are more interested in asking about the pay structure, overtime, holidays and working hours much more during interviews which can really "kill" the opportunity for employment. These are attitude which have been cultivated from school and needs immediate attention.

"So bro, what we have now are a new generation of children whom are highly dependant on teachers and parents to be around and without them, they would lose their direction and motivation. Betul tak?" says Sham.

Lee, "Bro, why not we get everyone together like the good old days for this coming CNY? Together ...gether and talk more then huh!"

"That's an excellent idea bro! We'll get into Facebook and summon all our kakis together." says Sham

"Orite la bro! Looking forward."

"Anyway, Kong Hee Fatt Choy to you, moga mudah-mudah rezeki and panjang umur." Sham, as the brief meeting ends as the 2 buddies went separate ways and head back to their respective states where they work.

What's happening to Batu Berendam Airport in Melaka?

It's August 13, 2008 when this piece of good news for Malaccans was published by Bernama and everyone was looking at the timely expansion of the decades old airport.

2 years down the road after all the mega-spending to expand the airport, we have yet to see Air Asia and MAS planes landing on the newly laid airstrips of Batu Berendam airport.

Have the RM131.5million public funds been wasted? Are all the announcements pure marketing gimmicks?

Or the newer Airbus and Boeing 737 planes acquired by Air Asia and MAS proves a little too much for the runways despite the additional RM40million allocated by Federal Government to expand the runway to 2,200 metres.

Well, Melaka folks are still waiting till today for Mohd Ali to fulfil of what he had promised on airport handling 1.5 million tourists and rake in RM1 billion revenue when it is fully operational.

3 lights and a junction

Do we need 3 lights to direct the traffic??

This traffic lights in SS2 Petaling Jaya could have been deliberately set-up to ensure road users have no excuse for beating the lights at this busy junction.

On the other hand, this is just an example and not knowing how many other locations with such waste of public funds!!

National-level X'mas Open House letdown! :-(

Portuguese Settlement in Ujong Pasir, Melaka had never failed to attract thousands of visitors whom are mesmerize by the merriment and decorations put up by the residents during X'mas.

Private local companies like Julie's (buscuit manufacturer), Joy Advertising and Aik Cheong Coffee had lent more cheer into turning the Settlement into a near fairyland.

I overheard a local youth (probably a little drunk) raising his angry voice at visitors looking into their homes and made them felt like animals in the zoo. Can't blame the youth over his concern and I felt that too even as a visitor.

The 2010 celebrations was supposed to be merrier with the announcement that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin would be joining in the national-level X'mas open house celebrations which other fellow Malaccans had looked forward to as well.

However, it was not to be as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin was not present though the event had attracted 10,000 guests which Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was also expected to attend.

Perhaps there too many cruxifixes/crosses to remove and singing of X'mas songs for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as took place at another X'mas tea party he attended. Why bother harping on 1 Malaysia when such tolerance cannot be accepted?

Only a Senior Minister currently embroiled in a "super hot" Indonesian rape claim attended the national-level event with Malacca’s Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam being the main VIPs. What a let down!

So what's the cue here for UMNO and Barisan Nasional's 1 Malaysia?
