Haphazard parking or double parking, whatever parking "styles" it may be. Malaysian road users have been accustomed to the variants. In fact, it has become part of the lifestyle of many car drivers of the "tidak apa" (don't care) attitude which had caused many traffic snarls, congestion and accidents especially in the city.
Do the drivers enjoy special privilege or immunity from the enforcement that they are able to park wherever they like? Could it be that they knew someone in the enforcement division who could strike off the summons at the wink of an eye? Or their personal huge financial resources would be able to handle whatever is being thrown at them?
The enforcement must come to terms that the longer they tolerate this kind of attitude, the bigger the potential problems would be in the future given that the number of vehicle owners would only rise and with limited parking space, the roads would be a road hazard for all.
It'll be too late then.
I guess to enforce proper parking attitude, the enforcement would have to come down hard on these offenders and don't "pilih bulu"! Just having a "Datuk" emblem on the car does not give special immunity to park wherever he/she likes.
As a daily road user and law abiding tax payer, we would all like to see a better road etiquettes and safety for everyone. Make the public roads a safer place for all and create a positive impression to the visitors of this country.
