Dramatic 12th Parliament Opening

12th Parliament seating opened this morning with a disruption (much expected though) with that Bocor Monkey!

When the Beruk became a BIGGER Beruk!

"Gobind tells Khairy to apologise for 'beruk' remarks "

My thoughts would be for Gobind to leave this "Bigger Beruk" alone and focus on service the rakyat. The Pakatan Rakyat have much more to gain then to entertain the monkey antics of this Rembau MP fella.

You can't just correct the wrong of a person by apology as it's the nature of the person and reflective on his/her actions.

I can safely say that majority Malaysians do not believe in Hishamuddin's sincerity for his apologies and theatrics of quitting his post for the sake of UMNO.

Remember, he labelled bloggers "Monyet" once before and look, who is the bigger monyet now here, here and here (and many more)!

Khir Toyo had accepted the role as an opposition in Selangor State Assembly here and top of the news is on Desperate Housewives!

Is Hishammuddin sincere?

How long does one takes to realise a mistake or error?

In school, if offences deemed offensive to all, disciplinary action is taken immediately by the school prefects and disciplinary teachers. Mistakes from monthly tests and examinations are pointed quickly during review of the questions so the students will learn not to repeat the same error.

We could see that the learing experience is almost immediate and would not take years to realise a mistake. Hishamuddin the Minister of Education had taken 3 years to make an apology and may be accepted by people of Malaysia but generally, many felt the "keris wielding" should not have happened at all.

Given his VIP status and Ministerial portfolio, it was sad he was caught in the arrogant "Ketuanan Melayu" eupohoria and just carried going along with the flow without thinking.

Would he apologise had BN retain the 2/3 majority? I doubt!

Is he sincere with his apology? I doubt! Sorry ....... apologies not accepted.

Satu lagi al-kisah Malaysia Boleh

Reporter : Aisey, Dato' we have news that a report had been lodged against you for sexual harrasment by a waitress of a hotel. Is this true?

Dato' : What sexual harrasment?

Reporter : According to the police report lodged last week, you were having drinks when you grabbed her buttocks while on some other occassion, you touched her on her arms and hands for almost 5 years you patronise the hotel outlet.

Dato' : That's very easy to answer......., the waitress already withdrawn her report yesterday! She knows I had no intention to outrage her modesty but sometimes touch hands and arms OK what? Same like Pak Lah with Michelle Yeoh (laugh). Same, Same what.

Reporter : Were you with fellow YB or businessmen?

Dato' : Like usual lah, but you cannot call them businessmen they don't like. Better call them business associates or corporate figure...... ahhhh. Sometimes they travel with me to overseas and we meet, where we go some interesting places. Once, the bills came up to USD95K but they settled it lah.

Reporter : Also, when she withdraw the report, she had mentioned that you sometimes joke with her in "rough ways". What is the rough ways she had mentioned? Vulgarities involved?

Dato' : You know like all reporters drinking beer.... When you a little intoxicated, we lose our mind and we start doing all sort of "perbuatan kasar" or "cakap kasar". We can also suddenly turned into a good singer and sing that song, what, Beautiful Girl by that, that Sean ... something.

Reporter : In your opinion, is the waitress pretty?

Dato' : I tell you, after a few drinks even an ugly girl becomes pretty ...... (laugh). But sometimes, even not drinking but we pass remarks like in US once but I apologised.

Reporter : Sounds more like when fantasy hits the mind and reality check is absent then.

Dato' : (cheeky laugh) ....... when having one too many drinks and got pretty girls, we can even have technology to go to the sun but unfortunately, Malaysia have no more funds to even go to space after the first.

Reporter : Can this episode considered close?

Dato' : The AG have forwarded the statutory declaration to the police and let the police decide like what they normally do lah. If you remember Lim Guan Eng case in Melaka last time ........ same thing can happen but this is all misinterpretation like the waitress say.

Reporter : Would this be a good lesson learnt?

Dato' : What lesson? We live in democratic country ..... we have the right to do anything and go anywhere. Furthermore, it's good to be a ruling coalition YB in this Malaysia. Malaysia Boleh!

Reporter : Thank you Dato' ....... let's continue parrrrttttyyyyyyyy.

Note:
Interview commentaries were "fictatious" of nature and in no reference to any person.

MCA only investigates after Pakatan Rakyat revelation

Would this situation be different had arrogance being voted into power in Perak?

This happened during the previous BN State Government and nothing came up till the lately when Pakatan Rakyat was voted into Perak State. Korek ... korek.... korek.....!

Malaysians have no time for "sandiwara" but if there is evidence of corruption, then immediate action should be taken by the authorities against the people involved instead of the MCA investigating. Perhaps, MCA should start "korek" other suspected such cases elsewhere and bring the culprits to the authorities instead of waiting for "sensational revelation".

I believe there are many more land deals worth investigating.......

What's all the fuss with Datuk Lee Kah Choon?

Like I have said in my many earlier blog postings, BN leaders, especially from the UMNO never seem to learn and start opening their 4X8 mindset to look at the 20X40 picture available. They are still set in their conservative mindset of yesteryears and still crying over the 12th GE fall from grace with in-fighting within UMNO for power.

Badawi says Lee's action against "BN spirit" and today the same Lee say no big deal with resignation.

Had BN been a corporate entity, Lee cannot speak to other competing companies and resign? The actions and thoughts by BN is likened to triad gang members where once sworn as a member, they would not abandon? ;-)

Pak Lah, we are living in year 2008 and times have changed! It's you who needs to change!!!

Bottom-line, Datuk Lee Kah Choon prefers to focus his energy in serving the people of Penang rather then getting caught in the never ending battles between "minority" coalition political parties with UMNO. Period!

Pak Lah, why not look into more depressing attitude and "animal behaviour" such as this? Could this be the person who talks about space program, high technology and loves karaoke? Remove him from party, charge him and send show cause letter fast. As an ex-Minister, he should show good example!

All Malaysians can only say that, it was a good decision by Datuk Lee and an effort to get on with the job of serving the rakyat. The 12th GE is over!

What Had Happened To Terengganu RM10billion Oil Royalty?

I may sound bias with my frank opinions as a rakyat in democratic Malaysia but there are some decisions by Government leaders which warrants a pat in the back as this;

Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said Sunday asked the federal government to hand over to the state government the management of the latter's oil royalty which amounts to nearly RM1 billion a year ~ Bernama April 20, 2008

The money rightfully belongs to the people of Terengganu which is the most appropriate way of allowing their appointed State representatives to spend the monies in the manner which would benefit the people. Since 1999, the Federal Government had bypassed the State Government (yes, had even bypassed Idris Jusoh) in spending the money they called "wang ehsan" through agencies e.g. Ketengah (Central Terengganu Development Authority), PERMINT and this could facilitate corruptions. Where's the accountability of the RM1billion spent annually since since 1999 which should total at a staggering RM10billion by now!

Despite the royalties due to the state, the truth is, Terengganu remains one of the poorest state in Malaysia and where could all the money be spent on?????

Crystal Mosque? Taman Tamadun Islam? New stadium? Airport expansion? Highway in the jungle? Resorts in Lake Kenyir (managed by Nikaniaga Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd now)? Lake Kenyir Dam? And not forgetting the Teluk Warisan and Monsoon Cup project which benefitted the elite more then the rakyat.

In every Malaysian interest especially the people of Terengganu, the Federal Government owe them a detailed report of how the monies had been spent as accountability should be transparent for the rakyat to vouch the credibility of the Dato', Datuks, Tan Sri and Tun whom had "helped" to spend the monies.

Cross-fire

This particular person who claims to have connections to the leaders of BN in a state down south quoted, "leaders of states held by opposition would be better off, going ahead with delivering promises and start to serve the people instead of "digging" up the files of the previous State Government".

No comments and pointless to argue as the ruling party may end up with a new leader soon with this on-going internal conflict ........ we know that the truth will prevail and the rakyat will be able to deliver the verdict.

Politics = Money?

Money Money Money

Has the precedent been set to compensate in monetary the wrongdoings of the Government starting with the 6 judges?

How about these other group of people whose family and themselves had suffered humiliation, suffering and pain during their wrongful detention when the draconian ISA was executed for the Government to stay in power?

If all the ruling Government thinks that money can buy happiness, they are definitely not a people's leaders but having more of a materialistic mindset which is only interested in personal gains rather then the rakyat. There are some Malaysians who had erroneously (in my opinion) elected them into power again with all Barang still Naik and old habits die hard.

The judgement had been served by the rakyat on many BN candidates in the 12th GE and even after the "Tsunami" verdict they had shown that they will never learn but more of "tin kosong" promises whilst UMNO are still on political wilderness.

Can the country really progress a month after the elections with the largest ruling party component still in a limbo on leadership?

Political analyst and opposition parties remain on the sidelines watching and enjoying the drama surrounding UMNO power and economic struggle. So where is the struggle for the rakyat?

Money buys apology & hardship?

Can money buy hardship? Is money everything and all forgotten after payment?????

This is the mindset of many today living in a materialistic world and never ever came across their minds that the world would be a better place to live in when problems of this nature could be minimize or avoided. The years of personal humiliation and hardship a person went through and in this case the 6 former judges, can never be replaced which will remain etched in their memory as long as they live.

It is a sad precedent that all these folks thought about was money compensation to solve the grave mistake they did and a not so "wise man" said "the ex-gratia payment announced by the government yesterday for six former judges involved in the 1988 judicial crisis is not a form of apology to them" and more here.

Are these sincere gestures or it's just a "wayang" (show) by the Government to woo the rakyats' (people's) confidence and recover lost ground after the 12th GE? Whatever it is, the arrogance of the ruling party leaders is still there for showing!

When will they learn? Till they understand that money is just a tool!!!!!!

Consume broken rice only, anyone?

Being the staple food of many Asians and in many parts of the world, the shortage of rice and inadvertent increase in price. Rice shortages can cause panic and unrest in many countries. Many people in Southeast Asia are worried over reports that rice is getting more expensive and supplies are dwindling.

April 1st 2008, Najib says “The price of rice will not go up despite the seemingly tighter supply in the local market.”

April 17th, 2008 Shahrir says (as Bernama reports), “Despite the increase, there would be sufficient supply to meet the demand.” He said at the moment, the consumption of such broken rice was only at 30 per cent of the total consumption of local rice and expected to increase to 50 percent. He said so far there was no report of an increase in its price which was fixed at RM1.65 to RM1.80 per kg.

Is Najib and Shahrir referring to broken rice only or others types of rice?

So Malaysians who can’t face the price increase of long grain, frangrant rice and etc should start consuming broken rice i.e. change your lifestyle. Can’t Malaysians still enjoy the rice we have all been consuming for many years and especially with the existence of the Privatisation Agreement between BERNAS and the Government of Malaysia dated 12 January 1996 ("the Privatisation Agreement")?

Will BERNAS practice what they preach in their principal activity which is reproduce below?

the Company shall also ensure the maintenance of the sufficient supply of rice at reasonably fair and stable prices. The Company's obligations under the Privatisation Agreement also include the maintenance of the rice stockpile, the distribution of paddy price subsidies to farmers on behalf of the Government, the management of the Bumiputra Rice Millers Scheme and acting as a buyer of last resort at the Guaranteed Minimum Price of paddy.”

Let’s watch! Before that some suggestions here.

Is Melaka better with public transport system or RM1.5billion aerorail?

First and foremost, let’s not confuse ourselves with the monorail and aerorail projects being undertaken by the Melaka State Government as they are both separate projects.

Does Melaka City really need one? Or perhaps better spent on improving the existing public transport system?

The first is a 1.6km Monorail from Taman Rempah (near Hang Jebat Bridge) to Hang Tuah Bridge which costs RM28million with a Roller Coaster, Glider, public facilities being borned jointly by MBMB, Kumpulan Melaka Bhd and little known Agibs Engineering and Construction. Is this beneficial to the state and people? What do you want the commuters to see along the short route and every Malaccan will know that “Taman Rempah” is specifically created for this monorail purpose. A short walk along the river banks to Hang Tuah bridge would be more scenic and enjoyable!

Taman Rempah is nothing but a blunder from the public point of view other then the organised traditional dance shows as marketed by the State Government.

The other being the Aerorail project of 18.4km linking Ayer Keroh to Melaka City costing the “people of Melaka” RM1.386billion. Melaka as it is, do not have a proper city planning to improve public transport within the city as roads within the city are narrow. However, getting from one end to another would not take 1 hour except during long holiday weekends.

With the aerorail, there will be 10 stations with 10 250-room 4-star hotels which are built, operated and managed by Pyramid Express Sdn Bhd while the technical and project management support will be provided by Pinggiran Pelangi Sdn Bhd, the local agent of Aerobus International of Houston, USA. All companies are little known companies except for the hotel operators Leisure Group but with bad reviews from guests of their existing managed hotels.

In true Malaysian Government fashion, we can expect more public funds would be required as the project goes on due to increased project costs. Would project be relevant then?

So Ali Rustam instead of being arrogant on carrying on this project spending public funds lavishly, it is wise to listen to Pak Lah (sometimes) as being said for another project here.

Aiyoooo .... piggy issue again!

The true fact is : All animal waste eminates unionized ammonia which is dangerous to the environment!

So are we saying the cow dungs and poultry in the farms and villages are not harmful to environment and health?

The issue on the pig farming in Selangor and Melaka (in September 2007) is not much about environment and health but some “little napoleons” had dragged this integrated farming issue into religion. Denials are easy but the profound motives embedded in their minds are much more polluted then animal waste.

If it is in the best interest of everyone living in a harmonious multi-ethnic Malaysia, it has to be cohesive thoughts of tolerance and most importantly thinking of ways to treat all animal waste to protect the environment we share and live in. Period!

Many Hindus and Chinese of Buddhist following who don’t take beef but living in plantation estates/villages have been living with existence of cows roaming around and dropping “land mines” indiscriminately but have anyone complained about this?

All physical live forms in this world could face near extinction if the research and changes in the global warming which was evident in the unpredictable weather worldwide today. This should be the bigger agenda.

It’s time for a change in mentality after 50 years of Independence that Malaysians irregardless of faith, ethnic background and political ideologies. “Grow up” and consolidate efforts in saving the world environment truthfully instead of hiding their political agendas behind such issues which could eventually drag into racial sentiments.

Malaysians united as one Malaysia. This is the bigger agenda and what people of the world would love to live in. Talking and promoting M2H?

Grow up and get a life people!

Kop The Gunners!

March 9, 2008 2:30am (+8 GMT) Champions League S/final Liverpool vs Arsenal

I eagerly woke up and not forgetting my son's request to include him in my early morning hour live telecast football game from Anfield, Liverpool. We were both seated at the edge of our seats watching the trilogy of both these teams in a deadlock over the 2 previous matches within a week.

At the same moment, memories of the days when my late dad used to do the same when watching early morning live telecast matches and he knows that Liverpool had always been part of me ever since I was 12 years old. 30 years onwards, my sons continue to be a die hard Liverpool supporter and in a truly "You'll Never Walk Alone" fashion.

Dad was with a slight twist, he always supported Liverpool's opponent. (just to test our faith and loyalty in Liverpool FC). Anyway, it is now a distant memory.

Back to the match, it was a truly pulsating match throughout, with the epic coming late in the match. Arsenal started brightly and we were speechless for a moment with little indication whether Liverpool would survive an onslaught by the opponent brilliant silky passing from the opening whistle.

0-1 Diaby and our hearts drop a little but wait, the Reds started playing football again which raises a glimmer of hope before the "old man" of the Liverpool team, Hyppia headed in a corner from Captain Marvellous, Stevie G to equalise. Thereon, it's Liverpool in control till half time and Arsenal never looked the same without the injured Flamini.

Almost 70 minutes when the game looks heading for extra-time when El Nino struck Arsenal with a crisp turn and lethal finishing to put Kops in advantage. It was also a situation where should the Gunners score a goal and with 20 minutes to go, they would put the issue beyond doubt.

With 6 minutes remaining on the clock, Adebayor strikes after a superb solo run by England hopeful Walcott and everything seem lost for Liverpool now. Wait a minute! Babel earned a penalty which was cooly slotted home by Stevie G and with seconds remaining in extra time, Babel again latched on to a long pass out from defence to out run the Aresenal last man before slotting it past Almunia.

Final Score : Kops gunned down Gunners 4-2

What was glaring, is Adebayor's taunting celebration jiggy by the touchline after he scored and as if that was the end of the contest and Liverpool's Champions League hopes. Other Arsenal players were celebrating as well, but they failed to realise that they were playing against the King of Comebacks. Arsenal's celebration was a little too early and Liverpool march on closer to Moscow. Walk On .......... Walk On ............. Next stop "The Blues"!

Moral of the story: It is not over till the final whistle!

They never seem to learn!!!!

Singing the tune of "Malaysia Truly Asia" gives the identity that Malaysia is a culture melting pot of the various ethnic backgrounds, religion and customs. This has been further enhanced by a history of 50 years where Malaysians irregardless of faith, believe and colour had been living under one roof united in harmony.

However, prior to the 12th GE, the racial inequality agenda had been much talked about with the ruling coalition seen as the organization preaching unity whilst doing otherwise with racial based politics party. The Opposition Front (now known as "Pakatan Rakyat") had gone one better by putting aside their political ideologies and coming together as a coalition to stunning results.

The promise to serve by people elected Parliamentarians does not seem to be well acepted by the ruling coalition representatives as reflected by this very early show of a arrogance and self centered Government leader. Doesn't she realised that she is now serving the people and country, and not the Barang Naik political party????

This is exemplary of a 4X8 small mindset trying to fit into the 12X24 vision or dreams.

It could be that she had not overcome the dissapointment and hatred on Pakatan Rakyat winning the states. Her actions and mindset can only be reflective of the present Government leadership of benefitting cronies and not the country at large.

Keep going Azalina and 13th GE (or perhaps earlier), the rakyat would deliver the verdict of your report card starting from here. It's also no wonder Rafidah is disputing Azalina's status here.
