BN Fears Rakyat(People) Power!

Opposition Fears BN Election Machinery, says Najib in Bernama on 28 February 2008.

It is totally agreed that BN machinery is most dreaded by the opposition with the available funds to finance the election campaigns. Party funds derived from investments in GLCs are the main financial source with the coffers affecting a little when the rakyat decided to boycott mainstream print media own by GLCs.

Whatever is being said, it is seen that the statement by Najib was more of a consoling statement of a demoralised BN machinery in totality based on the peoples' sentiments across the nation. With such anti-BN sentiments running high and in an unprecedented event, it will be more rightful to say that BN fears the peoples vote more given the issues at hand which the BN Government had not been able to answer satisfactorily.

Flags on top of trees can only construe to a display of loyalty and dedication to contest the election whilst BN posters at bus-stops in Jalan Enggang (in front of Sapura) can be considered utter disrespect to public property. BN buntings are strung from the traffic lights pole and road signs could only distract road-users. So which party would have more respect to public properties?

Indian community are based on communal politics and judging from the recent Hindraf handling, it is estimated that 80% of the Indian community votes would go to opposition whilst Chinese voters for opposition is estimated between 60-70%. The Malay votes seem to be split but with recent events the tilt would be more towards the opposition with BN votes looking more likely to come from rural areas like Rembau, Kepala Batas and etc. It will be difficult for BN in major towns or cities where the people are more informed of the going ons/"misadventures" by the Government and looks unforgiving this time round.

Peoples power (Makkal Sakhti) would ultimately be the answer to who will be in power come March 8.

Spineless BN manifesto

UPDATE

BN's manifesto has changed to Security, Peace & Prosperity!

Security - they meant to secure their position in the Government and society for further 4 years to waste tax payers monies.

Peace - making peace with all races after their mediocre handling on racial issues especially the Hindraf and Hishamuddin keris-wielding act.

Prosperity - once both the above are achieved, prosperity for their cronies and own pockets!

Looks very clearly that BN had lost ideas which they can proudly call their election manifesto as the manisfesto itself could prove to be their downfall this time. It's a loose manifesto and not too sure how this would appeal to the Malaysians.

Are you a fan or a supporter?

There is a distinctive difference between a fan and a supporter. Many people do not subscribe to the deep implication in declaring being either a fan or a supporter but just follow the leader. Sometimes it ends up to a blind leading the blind situation with a disastrous end result.

For e.g. major soccer clubs around the world, they would have official supporters club and the support from their supporters are through tested times of the club i.e. the agony and ecstasy. The initiative for supporting a particular team normally stems from the deep believe system of an individual and difficult to converta supporter to support another team.

Fans on the other hand is likened to "lallang" and they go with the flow. They are an easily influenced bunch of people and dictated to follow a certain leader/instruction. These fans are seasonal, meaning that they appear at it's hype and moves away when everything is done while relinquishing their believe system on what they were set upon.

So we would rather have 10 supporters rather then 100 fans!

Finally, are you a fan or supporter?

Projek Kerajaan BN (yang tak siap!)

Satu lagi Projek Kerajaan Barisan Nasional!

Projek mengubahsuai and upgred Dewan Sukan Dato' Keramat, Kuala Lumpur yang terbengkalai sejak 5-6 bulan.

Apa dah jadi? Sampai sekarang pun belum siap lagi... Apa nak jadi?

Undi Barisan Nasional untuk Projek yang lebih Cemerlang, Gemilang & Terbilang dari yang diatas!

Gloomy Outlook for BN

I was in my car when halted by the after election nomination march by BN candidates in Melaka accompanied by hundreds of supporters (looks small thoughfor ruling party). I wound down the window to hear what the glum looking souls were shouting but can't catch a word they were saying in Mandarin while the Malay and Indian supporters just walk along. Even then I could summed up that the spirits were low and most supporters I see were family members, pakciks, makciks, aunties and uncles.

Puteri and Pemuda UMNO members accompanying were more interested in the food and drink goodies handed out. Also, what's in store for me once you get elected kind of looks.

A BN supporter while passing my car had made a remark to the election candidate that I could be a PAS supporter! How true can your senses come to play and for this 12th General Elections, many other Malaysians like me would be voting for opposition!

Such remark can only summed up the sentiment of BN for this coming elections. Get your ass kicking big-time!

Enough of the promises of Cemerlang! Gemilang! & Terbilang! which never happened and that BN have to re-invent themselves for this coming 12th GE.

p/s I have news Malaysians living abroad are flying back in droves to vote against further re-invention by BN.

A Surprise CNY Card! (Once In A Lifetime)

Kepada Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali Rustam dan Sekeluarga,
"Terima kasih" Mr Ketua Menteri Melaka for sending this belated Chinese New Year greeting card! Just to let you know, CNY ends on February 21,2008 with Chap Goh Mei celebrations and very thoughtful of you to send on February 19, 2008 (instead of earlier as norm).

I am pleased to receive this card which almost all commoners will not receive if there is without a motive and in this instance the upcoming 12th General Elections (Erections in Pak Lah's terms). Since the last election, we do not hear anything from the elected representatives till now. However, for the ruling coalition representatives in Melaka, it's a situation of "Out of sight, out of mind" now so don't have to impress upon us anymore!

By the way, we had some difficulty getting pork just before Chinese New Year from the Melaka markets and can you help us resolve this?

Also please let the people of Melaka know why you went on long medical leave as we are concerned about your health.

Once again thank you for your "sincere" wishes.

Regards,
sincerely voting for opposition wholesomely this time
p/s Is this card sent to me because of the elections or from the Chief Minister's office as a leader of the state?
(a) if as a leader, I did not receive this ever but only this year and
(b) if it is for elections purposes, then you are abusing taxpayers money and Government tools
to send this card.

Rough Little Indian Biys

Truly funny. ......... enjoy!

The boys have surely managed to "rough up" the sleepy and "tidak ape" attitude of the leadership.

correct .... correct .... correct!

Truly hilarious and correct .... correct .... correct!

DBKL deprive Datuk Keramat folks of healthy lifestyle

Dato' Keramat, Kuala Lumpur folks are being deprived of recreational activities they once enjoyed as seen in the pictures. This hall and recreational park is located opposite the Jalan Jelatek LRT station

The recreational park was a favorite fishing spot till DBKL decided to upgrade it into a recreational lake with man-made waterfall, public toilets, jogging tracks, exercise stations and children playground. Later, barely 2 years after upgrading the park, it was closed and upgraded again and only to be left as it is now (in picture). Why abandoned and does the Government needs to spend the public monies for upgrading so quickly in a short time span?
The Malaysian Government, DBKL and FT Minister are answerable!

About the same time the park was upgraded for the second time, the Dewan Keramat was shut down for upgrading and again for reasons unknown, it was left as seen in the pictures attached. This hall used to serve as the elections nomination and counting centre in previous General Elections.

Even the new Keramat market which was abandoned during the last economic crisis was revived by the Government but till today, nothing much had been done to start utilizing the building.

Can’t the federal or local Government do a decent upgrading job?

Where are the promises by the Government? City folks, you decide as who we want for the next 5 years come March 8 and only vote for capable leaders who can serve you well and not the party! Folks we have to "pantau" useless leaders!

Lies .... Lies ..... Lies

In relation to purchasing Airbus A-319 between USD55-60million for his own use;
January 29, 2007 PM denied buying jet for his own use but for "Pembesar" and not bought by Government but by Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad (PMB). Isn't PMB a GLC???
Since delivery in mid-2007, may the rakyat request for the airplane flight log as to which "Pembesar" benefits most using this jet?

In relation to his marriage to Jean Abdullah;
March 6, 2007 PM says, “It’s just rumours, so only rumours, lah”.
June 06, 2007 PM announced he is marrying Jean Abdullah.

In relation to 12th General Elections date;
February 12, 2008 PM says "No, not tomorrow". (in relation to question whether he will dissolved Parliament for 12th General Election)
February 13, 2008 12:30pm PM says, "Parliament is dissolved!".

February 14, 2008 01:08 AM, Najib says "Opposition Parties Full Of Lies". (Bernama) What lies?

A liar is a person who is lying or who lies repeatedly. May we ask Najib who is a bigger liar????

A liar at the top!

With the dissolution of Parliament as announced by the PM at high noon to pave way for the 12th General Election, it signals the start of the"slinging" debates and campaign trail all across the nation by political parties. However, this particular GE will have an extra flavor to it like never before and a bad omen for number 13th, possible?

It is definitely sad at how inconsiderate can a PM of a multi-racial country and claimed to be the champion declare such in the midst of the Chinese community celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year. He had did it once before by holding the party general assembly during Deepavali and .... ooooops I did it again! Real insensitive over such events and there is nothing about racial.

Even much more cynical was his statement to the press that he would not call for Parliament dissolution today but he did!!! This is also the same when news broke out about his marriage to Jean Danker then and he told the press it was only rumours but then came the wedding day!!! He had lied twice here to Malaysians and only God knows how many other instance this Islam Hadhari proponant had lied to the rakyat.

Even more concerned to Malaysians was if it's true about what LKS had said about DYMM YDP Agung had objected to the dissolution and the insensitive liar had gone ahead to declare the dissolution, this is a real "biadap"!

Can Damai Malaysia come forward to voice for the silent majority on the PM's insensitivity and lie above?

Watch LKS immediate response to the Parliament dissolution below;

Just Change It!

Just Change It!

Change what? Change the leaders who are incapable of meeting the promises and lead the rakyat Malaysia!

It's people power which will decide if we would be going through this same "I" and "My" leadership. WE should stand up and be counted ourselves instead of NGOs like Damai Malaysia coming up proclaiming representing silent majority. Malu lah!

Bahasa Malaysia version can be found here.

Yee Sang Recipe with Mee Hoon?

Yee Sang is a favorite and most sought after among Malaysians and Singaporeans during the Chinese Lunar New Year festive period for celebration known as "Lo Hei". It is believed that Yee Sang is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor. Tossing the Yee Sang usually marks the start of a prosperous year and abundance of good luck.

It's ingredients comprise of raw salmon and shredded strips of vegetables. Typical ingredients include: fresh salmon, daikon (white radish), carrot, red pepper (capsicum), ginger, daun limau nipis (leaves from lime tree), Chinese parsley, chopped peanuts, toasted sesame seeds, Chinese shrimp crackers (or fried dried shrimp), five spice powder. The dressing is made primarily from plum sauce.

“Yee sang is a good mixture of all sorts of food. There’s some mee hoon in it and some fish too. Macam macam ada."

Not too sure how the mee hoon ended up in the Yee Sang recipe but this must be the truly Malaysian version!!!!! It could be that he had consumed without knowing what it was!!!!

Anybody eaten Yee Sang with mee hoon?

Too proud to ask perhaps!

True reports of Afghanistan and not Malaysia by Malaysian Journalists

"Malaysian Journalists Invited To Report True Situation In Afghanistan" ... screams Bernama on Feb 04, 2008 at 18:04pm

At least the Malaysian journalists have more truthful reporting to be made about Afghanistan rather then back in their backyard where their skills, creativity and initiative are limited by "hidden hands".

Rahimullah Samander, News Director of Afghanistan's Wakht News Agency must have taken a cue from the blogs and decided to use the writing skills of Malaysian journalists to be of better use.

So go Afghanistan guys!
