Fighter Cocks Perkasa!

Fresh from a weekend meet up with my Melayu ex-school mates and no surprises, we still have that strong friendship between us despite the 20+ years that we have been apart. We manage to seat, drink and talk while reminiscing the good old days when we were simply inseparable regardless of ethnicity and religion.

We came to agree that 20+ years fast forward, the situation had been so depressing that we have "clowns" trying to break this understanding which had required years to foster that had always won admiration worldwide.

"Clowns" running the country? Yes, in the context of a so called democratic country called Malaysia when main stream media, police, courts, agencies and many others are being controlled by the ruling Government. This is to curtail the actual news from spinned news which Malaysians have been fed for the last 20+ years.

Many times the authorities had failed to act quickly to restore racial harmony inherited from our forefathers whom had tirelessly worked together to secure the independence of the country we loved. Yet, these Little Napoleons in UMNO, Government agencies and NGOs like Perkasa, Pekida etc. claimed to champion Malay rights came to the forefront.

NGOs like Perkasa are always taking pot-shots at Opposition and any other movements that they deemed is against the ruling Government which are "cleverly" mixed with racial overtones.

The interesting fact here is that, although the Government had vehemently denied any involvement with Perkasa, no action had been instituted against the organization which automatically gives the impression that this is just another of the Government's doing.

As old friends, we came to an agreement that our "friendship will never end" come what may but the "clowns" reign in the Malaysian circus will . We shall place our political ideologies, preference, ethinicity and religion behind in the name of friendship.

More importantly, these "clowns" are acting such out of desperation for control though they are aware that support from the people is waning each day which could culminate in the lost of their personal economic livelihood which had for 54 years been sucked from taxpayer monies.

"Bring all the tricks out from the bag" they may require but Malaysians at large, are now matured and well informed.

The "Clowns" had for once said transparency in Government is a pre-requisite for support from the people. It's easier said than done or in the Malay proverb, "cakap tak serupa buat".

With the BERSIH rally looming on July 9th, 2011 and threat of a May 13 repeat by the "invincible" Ibrahim Ali, an idiotic individual, it is left to our imaginations if any action would be taken against him by the authorities. The provoking statements made is truly causing lots of uneasiness not only among Malaysians but foreigners while he had shielded from action many times before by the "Clowns".

Some foreigners have already begun raising concerned over those threats while some had been preparing to leave the country as the days are approaching.

I simply don't understand the need for provoking statements such as below and here in full;

“Cuba bayangkan jika berlaku huru-hara... jika himpunan Bersih 2.0 tidak dibatalkan, saya percaya kaum Cina perlu simpan bekalan makanan.

“Ya, apa sahaja boleh berlaku. Dan saya minta agar polis mengambil apa sahaja tindakan dan gunakan kuasa mereka untuk bertindak,”

If Perkasa is against BERSIH 2.0, can't they organize their rally on another day instead of a confrontation? Their decision to have on the same day is clearly a reflection of a typical Ibrahim ALi Malay mentality who are more of "fighter cocks" (ayam sabung) rather than placing moderation and rationale thinking into their actions.

It is no surprise that the movement are always thinking about "fighting," that they had forgotten that a better option would be helping the people and nation overcoming the hardships facing the nation in terms of rising prices for daily necessities, wages, health and others.

Judging from my fellow Malay friends feedback, I'm glad to note that there are still many peace loving Malays (majority) whom don't agree with the Perkasa ways which can be seen as a "modern day guerilla" movement.

Over to you Mr Najib and Malaysian Government! Send the ayam sabung "ibrahim ali" to Kamunting!
