Kuala Lumpur ~ City of Illegal Advert Posters?

Cities around the world have many proud nicknames given and an identity of the city to the world. Some examples are;

Bangkok ~ Venice of The East or City of Angels
Stockholm ~ Venice of The North
Hollywood ~ Tinseltown
London ~ The Square Mile
Las Vegas ~ Sin City
Manila ~ Pearl Of The Orient
New York ~ Gotham

Not to be outdone, Kuala Lumpur would stand handsdown for the dubious title of "City of Illegal Advertising Posters". I wonder why the local authorities could not take action against the "pole and tree decorators" when their contact numbers are clearly displayed on the posters?

It's happening all around Malaysia in this instance and had been going on for sometime now. Isn't this the duty of the enforcers to ensure Malaysia remains clean and attractive to the visitors of the world?

A sure answer from local authorities would be that they lack enforcement manpower but this is no excuse as these illegal posters is now habitual for years.

Should the enforcement bring down such posters, public funds are being wasted in cleaning up the mess left by these unethical advertisers and strict actions should be imposed on such offenders.

(a)Anyone could tell that the box pasted with the Astro Installer's advert belongs to the public and the Dewan Bandaraya colors confirms it.

(b)

Aa assortment of advertisements and colors to decorate the traffic lights! Will it prove as a distraction to motorists?

(c)

Election posters of BN are still hanging on walls. Isn't this an offence or another election is coming?

(d)

Another piece of modern art in Malaysia!

(e)

The names and contact numbers are clearly on the adverts but can't take action?

(f)

Trees along the roads are not spared and could be a distraction to the motorists nearing the traffic lights hung in a row.

With the Government Department logo on the banner, we can safely assume that the event is being endorsed by the Malaysian Government and supporting the placements of the banners. Is the authorities being pro-active to keep the city clean from such illegal banners.
