The Ahmad Aftermath

BN/UMNO Supreme Council finally decided on a "token" Ahmad Ismail suspended, stripped of posts for 3yrs to keep BN non-Malays component party members happy but Malaysians have not forgotten the other rhetorics of Khairy Jamaluddin, Hishamuddin and few others.

However, Ahmad accepts punishment but stays defiant but makes many UMNO Penang members unhappy. While other BN parties must act against errant members there are still calls for a more severe punishment from unhappy individuals including two petrol station owners see red.

Would MCA and Gerakan do a turnaround from their decisions prior to the suspension decision? Another flip flop or they have seen enough to convince them that enough is enough.

While this debate was going on, Dr M agrees to rejoin Umno and indirectly sending shivers down Abdullah's camp while Dr M’s return to Umno welcomed, says Zahid. Muhyiddin confirms Dr M returning to Umno and immediately says PM should step down before 2010 which PM surprised by Muhyiddin’s stand.

Dr M’s return: Umno will decide, says PM

UMNO should welcome Dr M's with an open mind to stabilise the Malays in UMNO and further pressure Abdullah to step down early instead of the 2010 deadline. While Tok Guru says Pakatan will benefit if Dr M rejoins Umno.

A further encouraging sign is Government Lifts Block On Websites, Blogs! So it was indeed the Government whom had blocked the websites inclduing Malaysia Today???

Malaysians at large accept the personality of the respective individuals and it's a known fact that you can't change a person unless the he/she helps to themselves. So forget about calls for punishment and etc. as the best method of punishment is to kick BN out for good!

Meanwhile, after a 10 year battle, PSM is now a ... paaarty!
