What Parliament Demonstration?

El Nino and global warming is causing changes in world weather patterns while Malaysian political climate had been equally hot off late and does not seem to cool down any sooner since the March 08 Tsunami.

Lately, accusations, police reports and Statutory Declarations (SD) affecting leading Malaysian political brokers including Attorney General (AG), Inspector-General of Police (IGP), de-facto Opposition Leader, Prime Minister (PM), Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and supporting cast comprising Private Investigators, a prominent blogger and a purpoted "sodomy victim" with the list adding on as each week passes by.

In the heat of events surrounding the uncertainty of the Government lawmakers ability to face the Opposition onslaught coupled by internal factions within UMNO, had "paralysed" the Government machinery into a defensive status.

The police force on the other hand, are facing integrity issues of corruption, power abuse, manhandling public during street demos/protests, Altantuya Shariibu's case, rising crime rate and many more. The public confidence in the police force had been significantly affected and with crime rate expected to rise due to the recent price hikes, the police had got into their own self created nightmare of a "Monday July 14 Parliament Demonstration", in reference to the no-confidence motion against PM. But, many Malaysians felt the roadblocks were meant for the possible arrests of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The bad dream had caused the police scrambling to manned roadblocks on roads leading into the Kuala Lumpur city since 2pm on Saturday with their made belief July 14 Demonstration. It has left the general public beyond imagination as to how the police force or rather the Government had induce traffic jams around the city and indirectly causing unnecessary burning of fuel. Such a waste of time and resources!

Prior to the July 6 rally in Kelana Jaya Stadium to protest the fuel hike, police had declared that they are carrying out joint operations for emergency with the military. Is this an indication that;
(a) the police, military and Government are hiding some general public information,
(b) police are incapable of fighting crime or maintaining public order or
(c) military rule would come in force?

Whatever it is, the latest police report lodged by UMNO member Johari Ismail as reported by Rocky Bru is certainly another dash to the image of the Malaysian police force.

This is where the nation is slowly falling into a state of paralysis with the prolong political instability where the PM, in setting a bad precedent, succumbs to pressure and forced to provide "gula-gula" as how the former PM, Che Det puts it.

Is the police force championing the security and safety of the Malaysian public or serving the political needs of a certain political master or "cult political party"?
