The street protesters seemed political, of late in Penang were illegal i.e. no permit from the police and yet they carried on with the protest minus the tear gas and water cannons. They seem to disregard the earlier calls on consequences of such street protest or illegal demonstrations from the nation's PM and umbrella body called Damai Malaysia claiming to represent the "silent majority" of 395 non-governmental organisations representing nearly 1.5 million members as reported - wanna make me laugh.
Isn't this street protest against wishes of the leadership and the rakyat?
So can the Damai Malaysia Chairman step up and repeat what had been said here? By the way, is this grouping still in exists?
“Enough is enough” was the catchphrase of participants in the forum, who were worried about the impact street protests would have on the country’s economy. (reproduced from the Damai Malaysia forum, NST 17 Dec 2007)
Damai Malaysia and PM, repeat calls now please ........ it's timely!
