As political parties step up its gear on election campaign, we do no hope that safety of road users are not compromised!We do know that a physchological battle gets underway to woo voters with party banners, buntings and flags. However, the amount of such party campaign tools prove distracting to road users and causes danger especially at traffic lights. We do hope local Government authorities tear down such banners, buntings and flags which are distracting road users. Follow the action of Majlis Perbandaran Bandaraya Kuala Terengganu and in this capital city of Kuala Lumpur, DBKL should emulate that.
Political party stickers are also sticked onto public property such as bus stops, road dividers, lamp post, traffic lights and etc. Isn't the local authorities doing something about this as well? This is tantamounts to vandalism!!!
Even though certain political parties have much more banners, buntings and flags, that does not mean that you have support but it's just a physchological ploy.
