Drawing a line between work and personal life is crucial especially for a public fiigure or representative of the rakyat. Integrity and honesty is crucial where oversight is not acceptable when professionalism is the key essence in delivery of the task assigned.
The signage says " Tanah milik Datuk Bandar. Penceroboh akan didakwa". (Land belongs to Kuala Lumpur Mayor. Tresspasers will be prosecuted.)
Such an arrogant signage and I believe the land does not belong to you Datuk Bandar Kuala Lumpur but it belongs to the Government or Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL). And Government is appointed by the rakyat!
It is these "little Napoleons" work and can be seen at a work site along Jalan Jelatek (on the left if you are coming from Jalan Ampang). This is the problem when politicians also serve as State Executive Councillors as well.
This is certainly another good example of high handed and nosey local Government?
So come 12th GE, people you decide your representatives well or another 4-5 years of misery.

Sandiwara Malaysia
When a group of friends go on a holiday or embark on a business deal, the best co-operation and preparation for the trip is ensured for a memorable holiday. Being "close friends", we comfortably wrap our arms around them besides eating together, staying together, travelling together and in short a cohesive unit. That's brothers in arms! But people talk about it lah! Correct ... correct....correct!
The problem arises when one of this friend gets into a "shitty" hole, everyone he knows suddenly disowns him (whether for real or play-act) and he is suddenly all alone fighting for his dear life. It is also at this moment he realises that the so-called close friends had decided to abandon friendship (for a moment, perhaps). His friends might say "He is drunk!", "He is mad!", "I don't really know him but bump into him during holidays from the start till the end!" and everything else would be in a state of denial or best of all memory lapse. Correct .... correct ..... correct!
Once this is over, they then decide that it is time to re-group after this minor hiccup for a "small" celebration in far away places and start planning for the next "sounds like me ..... looks like me" project. All the subjects around this issue directly turned into "fools" and the playground is now re-open for the next chapter of correct ..... correct ...... correct!
To the eyes of the world, the whole Malaysia is now a sandiwara!
p/s. perhaps some movie/drama producer will turn this into a comedy movie soon.

As the saying goes, it takes another bigger mad man or drunkard to recognise another! With old age, memory lapse sets in but could still remember some much detail facts though "looks like me". Correct ..... correct ...... correct!
He says he was "bull-shitting" and play acting! Such was the script of the play and had everyone looking like fools.
It is at this moment, he found out that everything was going against him. These friends, whom had vowed to be comrades to the end (should everything goes well) finally says "you're on your own my friend"!. Correct ..... correct ...... correct!
Then as a desperate measure of survival (or pre-planned escape route) everyone goes into an act of denial so that no one gets "hurt". As the saying goes "birds of a feather flock together", they were all singing the same tune and managed to manouvre their way out of the "entrapment". Correct ..... correct ...... correct!Once this is over, they then decide that it is time to re-group after this minor hiccup for a "small" celebration in far away places and start planning for the next "sounds like me ..... looks like me" project. Results that came late!
Finally, the reply from Ministry of Education (MOE) came on 15 January 2008 which is 9 days after school re-opened! Had all the parents waited for the letter from MOE, we would end up getting "played out". However, it's an outcome which we had already knew from typical Malaysian Government scenario.
18 December 2007 - Letter signed by Pengarah, Bahagian Sekolah, Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia and faxed across to the State level on X'mas Eve (24 December 2007) which I believe as a X'mas present. (on the left)
04 January 2008 - Letter was prepared and signed by Ketua Sektor Pengurusan Sekolah, Pengarah Pelajaran, Wilayah Persekutuan KL and we assume that he had gone on leave when the X'mas present was delivered.
And finally, the written verdict was sent by post on 14 January 2008 which again we would have thought that either;
(a) the Ketua Sektor was slow in signing since the letter was prepared or
(b) the letter was signed but sent out only on January 14, 2008.

There must be something seriously wrong as the replies took approximately a month to reach the intended anxious parents whom are trying hard to decide where to place their children for 2008 schooling!

Mr Khairy, Don't lah try to answer on behalf
January 08, 2008 00:03 AM
Only PM Can Comment On Polls Date, Says Khairy
KEPALA BATAS, Jan 7 (Bernama) -- Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin says only the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, has the absolute power and right to comment on the general election date."
No need to ask politicians or ministers including the Election Commission chairman (Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman)... I don't understand why he (Abdul Rashid) said the election is around the corner," said Khairy who called for a stop to speculations on the election date by any quarters.
Khairy was responding to reporters' questions after he launched the "Happy Family, Cheerful Society" organised by the Yayasan Budi Penyayang here today.
Asked to comment on the election fever being felt in the country, Khairy said some groups have resorted to turn current issues such as cooking oil shortage and extra charges imposed by schools and parent-teacher associations into political issues.
"The temperature of the general election is very high to the point that whatever action taken by the government is considered to be for the benefit of the general election," he added.-- BERNAMA
Why then does Government elected personnel like Election Commission chairman have to declare he knows the Election is round the corner? Does this mean that the Chairman has been speculating or the vow to ensure a free and fair election as declared in the motto, objectives and vision (http://www.spr.gov.my/) are all rhetorics with inclination to serve the ruling Government instead of the rakyat and His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong after consultation with the Conference of Rulers in Article 114.
If the Chairman could utter quotes like he is aware election is round the corner, then he could have conceal information which he has access and had not made known to all political parties which again shows on whose side EC chairman is. Fair and free election? Ahemmm ........
Mr Khairy, current issues are for real! It's happening and how can it happen???? What went wrong? Don't blame the groups, political parties, individuals on these current issues as any efficient management of such situation requires leaders with absolute integrity and knowledge.
If you have leaders who don't know what the situation is or what is he talking about then why bother be a Minister even a Prime Minister? In leadership by example, it reflects on the leadership if his subordinates had mismanage, involved with corruption, illicit sex or arrogant in making statements like "Take Your Money Back" This is stupidity and yet, manage education portfolio.
If Mr Hishamuddin thinks why previously people can afford and now cannot, then he has been just hovering above the ground all this while. We rakyat wants our children to be educated and willing to pay monies to ensure that they have a better future with education, but when an Election budget goes out saying free education, who is to blame? Most definitely all parents would want their monies back and spend on some other necessities given that cost of living is not going any lower.
Mr Khairy, Mr Hishamuddin and all "elite" group would have the funds to send their kids to private schools and pay the thousands in school fees. The silent majority of rakyat cannot afford the luxuries you are able to. Period!
Damai Malaysia would be better off speaking for majority in this context and secure the support from the NGOs. Think again, which silent majority would trust a non-appointed group talking of behalf!!! Stay away Damai Malaysia ....... we don't need you to represent us!

Malaysia Among 53 Places To Go in 2008?
New York Times had published the most attractive tourism destinations for 2008 with 6 desinations being in Asia. But wait no mentioned of destinations in Malaysia!!
Impossible it may be after all the monies spent to make VMY 2007 a success and now, extended to 31 August 2008, isn't there anything attractive being planned by the Tourism Ministry to make Malaysia destinations as an attractive destination for 2008? So what promotions have the Ministry made to attract tourists?
Below are snippets of Asian destinations including our less illustrious ASEAN neighbour Laos, up-coming Asian economy - Vietnam and Lombok in Indonesia. Maldives were hit by Tsunami and with islands sinking few centimetres annually standa beside countries involved with war/uncertainties i.e. Iran and Kuwait in the listing. Where is my Malaysia Truly Asia?
1 LAOS
Vietnam and Cambodia are so 2007. Now, Laos is shaping up to be Indochina's next hot spot. Ancient sites like the Wat Phou temple complex and the capital city of Vientiane are drawing culture seekers. Luxury teak houseboats are cruising down the Mekong. And global nomads are heading to Luang Prabang to sample the Laotian tasting menu at 3 Nagas (www.3nagas.com) or hang out by the infinity pool at the seriously upscale RĂ©sidence Phou Vao (www.residencephouvao.com).
7. MALDIVES
The 2004 tsunami, a fragile ecology and a recent bombing have done little to dampen a hotel boom in this island-nation of about 1,192 coral islets in the Indian Ocean. Among the high-end hotels expected to open next year is a Regent Hotels & Resorts (www.regenthotels.com) with 50 villas, many set over the water, allowing guests to observe the rich marine life while still lying in bed.
18. IRAN
What Axis of Evil? Upscale tour operators are tiptoeing into Iran next year, offering trips that explore the ancient country's Persian treasures and olive-green desert plains. Next spring, the luxury cruise liner Silversea will make stops in the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas on its Dubai to Dubai cruise. And California-based Distant Horizons (www.distant-horizons.com) is organizing two 18-day trips that start in Tehran and then weave through the once-forbidden countryside, including stops in Shiraz and Isfahan. Prices start at $5,390 per person.
32. KUWAIT CITY
Yes, there's a war next door. But that's not preventing Kuwait City, a bustling metropolis on the Persian Gulf, from welcoming new air service (direct United flights from Dulles Airport near Washington start this month), playing host to international boat shows, or opening a slate of opulent hotels. The most talked-about is the Hotel Missoni, the first of several for the fashion house. Designed by the Italian architect Matteo Thun, it is to open next year.
34. LOMBOK
Lombok, a low-key Indonesian island east of Bali, is coming out of the shadows. With Bali oversaturated with villas and designer restaurants, tourists are hopping on short flights to find less-crowded beaches, a bigger volcano and better surfing. It's also cheaper — not that visitors are slumming it. There's already an Oberoi (www.oberoilombok.com), and other high-end hotels are on the way.
48. VIETNAM
Three decades after the fall of Saigon, the city (now known as Ho Chi Minh City) has become an unlikely stop on the global golf circuit. In the past decade, old courses like the Dalat Palace Golf Club have been spruced up, and newer ones, like the Ocean Dunes Golf Club in nearby Phan Thiet, on the South China Sea, and designed by Nick Faldo, have raised the bar. Still to come: the Montgomerie Links, just off China Beach, and the first Vietnam course designed by Colin Montgomerie.
Aiseyman ....... Tourism Minister could have perhaps spent the monies on tourism infrastructure in Malaysia e.g. RM1mil public toilets, Eye on Malaysia and etc. instead of promoting to such effect.
Bernama sang to the tune of "Laos Is One Of 53 Places To Go In 2008" on 08 January 2008 online.
More promotions spending on Malaysia Truly Asia or Rasa Sayang? I recalled an incident during a Government sponsored roadshow in middle east sometime ago when the cultural performers on stage were all Filipinos and truly reflecting the tagline!
So called world class events organised in Malaysia e.g. Monsoon Cup and mega projects like IDR, PGCC and all the corridors can't even attract?
So what's the next step PM?
[A] Sack the Minister.
[B] We will review tourism promotion initiatives.
[C] More promotions and look forward to 2009.
[D] Sleep with it!

Goodbye Datuk Seri Dr Chua!
He was the rising star in MCA and potential to carry the torch of the party (where some MCA party leaders were a disaster). He had performed admirably as a Minister till the DVDs got into circulation. For such a track record ended by a stupid incident or was it a jinx for Minister of Health portfolio, this makes it more surprising to everyone.
He was an individual with balls holding a high position in the Malaysian Government to come out in public to admit his wrongdoing besides apologising for his misdemanour. If only all other leaders involved with scandals would come forward and admit....... that's what we call jantan not like the pondans hiding behind protected skirts of their FIL but call themselves "jantan". Cisssss..... you think they dare?
Whether there was a conspiracy over the revelation of the DVD and his public admission, it's left to anyone's interpretation and guess. Judging from the "rhymes" in his departure speech, it seems there are more leaders then only him with tainted records which he would not reveal ........ time will tell and let's watch the development.
Datuk Seri Dr Chua, though you were made to pay for your misadventure but the fact that you stood up to admit "I am the one in the sex DVD" gives you honorable respect among all other high position leaders who don't have the guts to come out openly to admit and resign! Gusto!
p/s AAB looks at sea over this new year fireworks affecting his Government and he misquoted Ong Kata Nothing's title as Tan Sri instead of the rightful Datuk Seri and this was over the national spin TVs. Or did I hear wrongly as he had spoken too soft.
