So BN leaders Merdeka message is about UNITY and not PROMISES!

"Our strength is our unity", says Najib, UMNO/BN Supremo and PM of Malaysia

"Work as one for a brighter future", says Chua Soi Lek (Porn Star), MCA President

"Once again, in celebrating the 55th Merdeka Day, we need to summon the spirit that was in our first Merdeka Day 55 years ago. We have to rediscover the spirit that has defined our past and that will lead us to the future", says Palanivel (Mr Grab Cameron Highlands seat), MIC President

Theme for 55th Malaysia Independence Day, "1 Malaysia Janji Ditepati", at least Rais Yatim will shout this one! Oh yes, he made all the participants to shout this during the parade and I doubt majority if not all of the 13,000 participants truly grasps what has been delivered.

Summing up from this morning's parade, it would seem that it's a celebration of Najib's tenure as PM since 2008 in achieving transformation through NKRA and 1 Malaysia. Have we forgotten the achievements through the years and isn't Merdeka relates to the 55 years?

Another interesting point to note is that all three main component Barisan Nasional coalition party leaders had quoted about unity as a way forward in their Merdeka Day message. Errmmm.......is there something wrong here??

"Promises fulfilled" on one end and "Unity" on another!!

Wait, what did the Opposition, Pakatan Rakyat had as their theme? SeBangsa, SeNegara, SeJiwa which sounded more like a unity theme and how appropriate judging from the worsening conditions of the race relations in this country.

So by quoting unity as a message by BN leaders, does it mean that it was a mistake going with "Promises" theme?

Or, do I smell a disagreement within the internal set-up of the national coalition?

Damned...either way they are doom for this imminet GE 13 unless they have other plans!!
