Satu Lagi Projek Ciplak Kerajaan Barisan Nasional

Talking about the first step and being vocal about a Malaysian, the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) had all the ingredients.

These exact spices were used to "wake" Malaysians up, including the Barisan Nasional (BN), during the last 2008 General Election.

Now the BN are using these as their re-building initiatives when it's actually "ciplak" (imitation). Among others are the claims about the 1Malaysia concept which was initiated by the PR and many others. Now with this!

It is not wrong to say that BN had no promising leaders and ideas which can drive Malaysia forward when all the BN leaders do is to copy the ideas of others!

fined for parking on road kerbs?

Bagan Pinang by election results

Thumping or landslide victory, it was a victory for the corrupt! Whatever you called it, it's a victory for corruption!

Official results:
Tan Sri Mohd Isa Samad (BN) - 8,013 votes;
Zulkefly Mohamad Omar (Pas) - 2,578 votes.
BN wins by a majority of 5,435 votes

Isa says he won because of the 1Malaysia concept, and not because of his popularity.

PAS and their coalition partners would certainly have to leave their previous rhetorics behind and the obvious reason for this defeat would certainly be a voice for Pakatan Rakyat to get their acts together especially with the recent internal feuds.

Congrats Isa for the being the chosen one in Bagan Pinag but to the majority of rakyat Malaysia, you are still unpopular and you knew it!

This Isa victory now presents a headache for MB of Negeri Sembilan and the Federal.

Bagan Pinang by-election

Bagan Pinang by-election is underway with another couple of hours before voting closes amidst few reported chaos in Teluk Kemang area. It shows that this by-election is one which is keenly contested by both candidates with "loan" supporters and election workers imported from other states to secure the victory for the party.

BN/UMNO would be keen to change the public perception of the present Government after the many by-election disasters where they were overrun by Pakatan Rakyat.

Tan Sri Isa Samad aka "Mr Popular", the former Menteri Besar (MB) of Negeri Sembilan claims to be well liked in Bagan Pinang with a service record of well over 30 years and a safe candidate for UMNO. Despite this, there were disputes over the claims that;
  • the numerous abandoned projects in the state during his tenure as MB,
  • the neglect of the people of Bagan Pinang especially the many estates in that constituency which is majority represented by the Indian community,
  • his statement of "politik wang bukan rasuah" is on everyone's lips and supported by the high echelons of UMNO does provide the certainty that the party leaders do endorse bribery and corruption.
The PAS candidate, Zulkefly Mohamad Omar meanwhile has a clean record which BN could not find fault and had been the consistency in policy for candidates in the many by-elections prior to this. Compared to the BN candidates of past by-elections i.e. Permatang Pasir and Kuala Terengganu including Bagan Pinang, their tainted personal records is something the voters would have to consider deeply.

A vote for the tainted candidate means a vote for corruption or wrongdoing! Ku Li delivered his simple thoughts on Bagan Pinang here.

Nevertheless, it is definitely one of the more keenly contested by-elections in recent times and the favorite Tan Sri Samad has the upper edge over his competitor especially with the 4,000 odd postal votes set to favor BN. This is re-affirmed after the campaigning in the armay camp by BN.

Saying that, it is never certain that should the postal votes be carried out fairly, it would provide a certain degree of vote swing to PAS, given the frustration and dissapointment over some Government decisions which affected the rakyat, with servicemen included.

With the high turnout during the ceramahs of both parties, it does seem that votes would be divided evenly and the majority would be down to the wire for either winning candidate.

Should Isa win, Negeri Sembilan State Exco would be thrown into a dilemma of whether accepting him and assigning him a portfolio or Isa being considered again for the MB role for perhaps history to repeat itself. Could this be the end for Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan?

Should Zulkefly wins, the voters judgement would definitely be ringing in the ears of the UMNO leaders for time to come and signify the requirement for the party leaders to kick their dirty habits out once for all. For the Bagan Pinang folks, it is an endorsement for a clean, trustworthy and integrity while it's worth the try to allow Zulkefly to deliver his promise.

Regardless of the financial power of UMNO during this by-election, Bagan Pinang could be in for a surprise result!

"close one eye" Malaysian traffic police?

If I have said it many times and encountered many times, I believe the encounters with "police closing one eye" and the "kampung-nization" of Setiawangsa holds truth with this picture taken from The Star, titled "Don't Look Back" says it all.

Apakah penunggang motosikal boleh bermaharajalela di kawasan Setiawangsa?

Please be fair and strict in enforcement of law!

I do hope more pictures like this would surface from the public to force Malaysian police to maintain strict law & order! What better way then to place such pictures online ..... not to embarrass the police force but proof that without strict enforcement, "Mamats" like in the picture can endanger both himself and the other road users.

Who has lost direction!

PAS Has Lost Its Direction In Bagan Pinang, Says Ali Rustam.

For me as a Malaysian, lost of direction calling for postponement and review is not a great deal in determining the right leader to lead the rakyat.

More disgusting and heinous are the "so-called" UMNO leaders indulge in their personal pleasures of "Politik wang bukan rasuah" (money politics is not corruption) such as this and this. Pigi dah!

It's only in UMNO that "politik wang bukan rasuah" and Malaysia Today has it listed here. Would this website be subject to further ban since the last revelation of the leaked Cabinet meeting papers?

If the latest Merdeka Review poll on Najib is used as a yardstick, the latest revelations would force s further decline come Qtr 4 2009 and it's no surprise!

is this motorcycle license plate visible?

Wondering where the enforcements if such a little piece of black frame is hardly visible. When motorcycles with such license plate is left roaming on the roads and no wonder "Mat Rempits" and motorcycle snatch thefts ranks high on the crime index.

Perhaps the motorcyclist was trying to hide the number from 4-digit punters!

Pengerusi Rempit & Mats go berserk?

Between these 3 pictures and being a neutral, I would say the one of the right is more life threatening. The difference here is that they are from opposing ends in the Bagan Pinang by-election and the events had occured on different occassions.

The one on the left is an UMNO Supreme Council member who has the support from the Government who claimed he was set upon by 9 supporters from PAS and been known from the past where he had tried to rehabilitate "Mat Rempits" as well as calling "Mat Rempits" to strike fear on the streets during Bukit Selambau by-election.

So when the Pengerusi Mat Rempit claims to have been beaten up, the whole "kandang" of "Rempits" start to go berserk for revenge perhaps? Is this a fair equation of the Malaysian society and taking the law into their own hands instead of allowing the police to investigate (or the police are waiting for instructions from orang atasan)?

When you equate violence with a candidate claiming that "Politik Wang Bukan Rasuah" (Money Politics Is not Corruption) then he has alleviated the term corruption to a new level of interpretation. Now we know why the Government leaders are such a corrupt lot!

In other words, Isa had just "halalkan" money politics!

In this instance, it's no difference then "Looks like me, sounds like me" and can be similarly applied in the PKFZ investigations if they chose that escape route.

While the other is from PAS and if reports of this are true, one wonders where the national security stands. Attacked by 20 motorcyclists and set upon with weapons to instigate a reaction from the PAS supporters was their main intention but they left disillusioned with no retaliation from the PAS camp. Was the police acting fast enough with the erection of pondok polis across "Army Town" in this instance? Perhaps the erection only applies to Azeez and the UMNO camp!

It shows the level of maturity in politics between the 2 Malay parties of UMNO and PAS. It's a wonder as how UMNO supporting violence and corruption would be able to administer and manage Malaysia, a country fighting the descendancy from country rankings for sports, transparency, education and many more.

Can 1Malaysia materiaize in the near future? Will Najib's idea of 1Region and 1World be far fetched?
