Dad's condition had not changed much and he still can't lift his limbs. This we can understand that he had lost his appetite much before his admission when the sugar level had taken over his body system. His body weight had taken a dive and what we see of him previously is now like a layer of flesh covering the bones.
He had also started hallucinating and not knowing where he is. Saying this, his memory was still super sharp as he remembers utility bills which is due!
He had constantly asked mum about time and day which old folks would like to avoid answering especially from someone who is ill. This is a taboo of the old folks which whether superstitious or not, we maintained what our ancestors believe.
The salt drips was being replaced quickly and his right elbow had now swelled due to the numerous jabs he was given for blood specimen and medication. As any diabetic patient, wounds are difficult to heal. There are no alternatives....
Elder brother stayed overnight when the eldest had chicken out with excuses which was totally unacceptable. This is what an unfaithful son's "love" to a father!! Shocking but true.
It wasn't easy when elder brother had to drive 45 mins to work and had stayed overnight to look after ailing father in the hospital. Anyway, news of dad getting better removes the anxiety slightly but he remained hospitalised. I respected my elder brother since young and will remain with such responsible actions.
