Driving around KL city is such a pain these few days and pardon me for thinking if there was a "confession" or "Tiger show" going on in Jalan Ipoh area when I realised all the UMNO hypocrites were having their assembly to elect a new leader to take them through the battering they received last March.
This assembly of perhaps the largest "CON-tractors" grouping in Malaysia holds special significance to the organization now that the states which enjoy the highest economic and development activities are now under the hands of the Opposition Pakatan Rakyat.
The manner the meeting are conducted with the ban of online media and a definite selective uninspiring "UMNO stories and rhetorics" in MSM, the meeting is no different then a secret society get together with everything discuss is a no.. no.. to non-members.
It was during the traffic crawl along Jalan Tun Razak (opposite the General Hospital) when I noticed a banner being hung welcoming the "goonies" to the assembly but what shocked me was we taxpayers and Malaysians at large can confirm that MACC is nothing but just another Government agency instead of being independent.
Why do MACC need to place a banner at the expense of taxpayers monies???? I'm lost!!
The initial proceedings had already its fair share of controversy with this likened to "a pot calling a kettle black" which re-affirms that the 59th General Assembly is nothing but to endorse the misdeeds!
While do we Malaysians have a flip-flop surprise in store with a statement like this "I Know When To Go"?
Just a wonder that when the UMNO members get onto the stage for their (pre-arranged and edited) speech, they get into a trance and starts cursing what's out there that could diminish them from the face of Malaysian politics. Well that's OK to the police as well but not otherwise. Funny huh but in true UMNO boleh spirit!
Going by name of integrity and trustworthy, almost all the candidates juggling for positions in Malaysia's largest political party (not too sure if it still is) are real clean! Should such personalities with tainted image gets into Government positions, if left for all Malaysians to wonder if we are slowly drowning ourselves into becoming a nation in poverty.
It's also a wonder that MACC investigates and gather the evidence only to be passed on to UMNO Disciplinary Board for action. Shouldn't this be categorized as corruption and relevant individuals charged by MACC regardless of whether party matter or personal?
Once this assembly is over, the goonies will meet again in November/December 2009 for the 60th Assembly and one wonders how much is spent on organising such events! Is this UMNO Baru 59/60 years old????? No wonder the objectives between UMNO and UMNO Baru are distinct!!!!
Have a great time UMNOists!

LTBB RM25million payout!
Someone hit the "jackpot" by RM25million from the Federal Government loan for Batu Berendam airport expansion?
In August 2008, annoucement of an additional RM40million is required to extend the newly built Lapangan Terbang Batu Berendam (LTBB) runway by another 400 metres at a staggering RM100K per metre.
However, 7 months later, it was announced that the cost had escalated to RM162.5K! What had gone wrong when Transport Ministry was considering it then and now, taxpayers have to shoulder the extra RM25million. Is this how people within the corridors of power becomes rich?
The grapevine has it that, the extension arose from Ali Rustam's oversight as he had asked Air Asia what would the length required for AA planes which was Boeing 737 then. Subsequently, AA upgraded the planes to Airbus 320 and Ali Rustam hit the shit!
So he had to quote excuses like "s in line with international specifications for the safe and comfortable landing" though is true but it could have been done without incurring extra cost!

Are Malaysian Ministers really performing?
Will the voices of Perakians be heard now and in the future?
The developments since March 13, 2008 is rather interesting and it is evident the political power play by UMNO led BN. The people elected representative poaching activities had been an on-going agenda ever since the BN lost the State Government to the "now Opposition" with the sudden "jump" by so-called 4 friendly independents representative whom are now "disowned" by their voters with one instantaneously brandishing a new luxury car.
From then on, the struggle ensued as who is the legitimate State Government amidst accusations being thrown on both sides on the legality of the new BN led State Government. Chaos ensued with the swearing-in which led to the new Perak political masters claiming the Pakatan Rakyat State Government of "hina" or biadap" towards the Sultan of Perak which was dragged on into the Parliament seating.
It did not end there as the struggle to pursue in establishing the legitimate State Government had now ended up in the Courts with the many police reports and legal suits being filed both ends. It would take sometime before the Court able to establish a decision which many had predicted that would favor the BN. Malaysians have seen many instances of Court ruling swayed by the authorities and would it be wise for the taxpayers to incur such cost for the courts to seat and decide?
The BN led Perak State Government seem to be lack for choice of candidates to serve as State Exco with the "small" team sworn in which was made worse with the remote possibility of appointing the friendly 4 into State Exco positions.
The infamous "tree assembly" by Pakatan Rakyat state legislators gave a vote of confidence to Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin who now received the majority Sate Assembly votes to call for dissolution of the State Assembly to pave way for a state election. The majority was gained when BN state exco and the 4 friendly independents were suspended from attending the State Assembly by the State Speaker who is now seen as a stumbling block to the BN State Government.
However, what was not investigated and harp upon by the MSM was the reason for the tree assembly to be conducted in that manner. This arose when the State Assemblymen were defied from their rights to enter the State building.
The tree have now been referred to as the Democracy Tree with another 5 raintrees being planted aptly named Amanah (Trustworthiness), Adil (Justice), Telus (Transparency), Kebajikan (Welfare) and Wibawa (Integrity).
As if the accusations, police reports and legal suits aren't enough, the BN appointed Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abd Kadir who normally appeared cool and friendly has finally blown his top by threatening to chop the trees down. He had claimed that the meeting was undemocratic and symbolise royal contempt and treason. Indirectly a tree is also a political agenda now and may end up a victim to BN reforms in Perak!
Not too sure if he was referring to a meeting held under the tree of planting of the tree which now leads to a question if the power grab by BN in Perak is democratic to Zambry!
While the political leaders in Perak are at war, the mastermind behind this power grab is facing his own dilemma with this revelation and call by 2 senior party members that the UMNO General Assembly due middle of this month to be postponed.
One thing for certain, rakyat Malaysia (minus the UMNO goonies) is really angry with what had transpired since the General Election. The Ministers had been living on "gaji buta" thus far with what regarded as the worst economic slowdown looming overhead as they are embroiled with political struggles within the party and counter Pakatan Rakyat.
Rakyat Malaysia should suggest that all Minister take a 20% cut from their allowances for being unproductive and under performing since the rakyat had placed them into those positions which they are glorified.
Get real, what difference would it make should they lose the few thousands in allowance cut compared to the millions they make from "other means" by virtue of them being in their respective positions in power while the rakyat suffers.
The Ministers had sworn to perform their level best during the oath taking but nothing of that sort can be seen till now which makes Malaysian wonder if the country is going to slide downwards further!
